Gadhakalika Temple is located in Ujjain city of Madhya Pradesh. The ancient poet Kalidas Garh was a worshiper of Kalika Devi. Regarding Kalidas, it is believed that ever since he started worshiping in this temple, his brilliant personality started developing. 'Shyamla Dandak' Mahakali Stotra written by Kalidas is a beautiful composition. It is said that this stotra was the first to appear from the mouth of the great poet. Here every year before the Kalidas festival, Goddess Kalika is worshipped.
