Shri Ram Ghat is a renowned waterfront in the city of Ujjain. This ghat is situated on the banks of the Shipra River and is frequented for religious and spiritual purposes. Shri Ram Ghat holds significance from both a religious and cultural perspective. Numerous worship rituals and religious events are organized here, in which local and distant devotees participate. Shri Ram Ghat particularly holds special importance during Mondays, known as Somvar, which is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. On these Mondays, a large number of devotees come to the ghat, take a dip in the river, and offer water to the Shiva lingam. Furthermore, during the Mahakumbh Mela, hundreds of thousands of people gather at Shri Ram Ghat to take a holy dip in the river. This mega event occurs every 12 years and is a significant and awe-inspiring festival for followers of the Hindu faith.
